Merchant profiles and research visits

What this is

Each merchant has a public profile page you can open from a program card or a program page by clicking "View merchant profile." It shows the merchant's name, location, verification badges, description, products and services, categories, and links to their website or contact details when the merchant chooses to publish them.

Why it matters

Researching a merchant before applying helps you judge whether their business, reputation, and program terms are a good fit for your audience, since Diversified Affiliates does not guarantee any merchant's ongoing performance.

How to do it

1. From the Marketplace, click a merchant's name link on any program card, or click "View merchant profile" from a program's detail page.
2. Review the "About this merchant" section for their description, products and services, and category tags.
3. Check any verification badge shown near the merchant's name. A verified badge reflects information reviewed as of a specific date; it does not guarantee the merchant is currently active, financially sound, or in compliance, so use independent judgment.
4. Scroll to "Active programs" to see every other public program this merchant runs, and open any of them directly.
5. If the merchant listed a public website, click "Visit merchant website" to review it independently.

What happens next

Nothing you do on a merchant profile page affects your application status. It is purely informational, letting you decide which of a merchant's programs, if any, are worth applying to.

Common mistakes

Do not treat a verification badge as a guarantee of quality or an ongoing financial promise. It only reflects a point in time review.
