Influencers, creators, and publishers on Diversified Affiliates
Influencers, YouTubers, streamers, bloggers, podcasters, and publishers are all affiliates here, with one shared account type.
What this is
Diversified Affiliates uses a single role called "affiliate" for anyone who promotes a merchant's program to an audience. If you are an influencer, a YouTuber, a streamer, a blogger, a podcaster, or a publisher, you sign up and operate as an affiliate. There is no separate influencer plan, dashboard, or approval path.
Why it matters
Knowing this helps you use the right screens. Every feature described in this help center under "affiliate," including the Marketplace, My Programs, Creative Library, Tracking IDs, Payments, and Tax documents, is exactly what applies to your account regardless of what platform or content format you use.
How your profile reflects this
On the Profile page, the Online presence section accepts websites and blogs, plus "Social and other properties," so you can list a YouTube channel, a Twitch channel, a podcast feed, an Instagram or TikTok handle, or a blog URL side by side. The Marketing profile section asks for your Promotion methods, which include options like Social Media, Video, Podcast, Email Marketing, and Website/Blog, and your approximate audience size. Merchants review these fields when deciding whether to approve your application.
How to do it
- Complete your Profile with every relevant channel listed under Online presence.
- In Promotion methods, select every format you actually use so merchants can evaluate fit correctly.
- Write an honest Audience description so a merchant understands who follows you and how you plan to promote their program.
- Apply to programs whose categories match your content, using the Category filter on the Marketplace page.
What happens next
Merchants see your public profile fields when reviewing an application or, if you turn on Discovery, when browsing the affiliate directory. Discovery is off by default; see Affiliate Profile for what merchants can and cannot see.
Common mistakes
Do not create multiple accounts for different content channels. One affiliate account can list every website, channel, and social property you use.
In short
Whatever you call yourself, the platform calls you an affiliate, and every affiliate feature is built for creators, streamers, bloggers, podcasters, and publishers alike.
