What is a program

How a program packages your commission offer, terms, and visibility for affiliates.

What this is

A program is the unit affiliates apply to and promote. It bundles a name, description, program type, commission summary, visibility, approval type, attribution window, minimum payout, payment schedule, categories, and program terms.

Why it matters

Everything downstream, applications, tracking links, creatives, and commissions, is scoped to a program. A merchant organization can run more than one program, for example to separate product lines or commission structures.

How to do it

  1. Open Programs from the navigation to see every program your organization has created, each shown with its status and whether it has been approved by Diversified Affiliates ("DA approved").
  2. Click Open workspace on any program to manage its details, terms, applications, and other settings from one place.
  3. Choose a program type on creation from the list including Ecommerce, Subscription, Lead Generation, Qualified Lead, Customer Acquisition, Revenue Milestone, Flat Bounty, Recurring Revenue, Merchant-Reported/Offline, Hybrid, or Not Sure Yet.
  4. Set Visibility to Public, Unlisted, or Private, and Application approval to Manual, Instant, or Invite Only.

What happens next

New programs start in Draft status. See Program Statuses and Lifecycle for what happens as a program moves toward Active.

Common mistakes

Do not confuse "DA approved" (Diversified Affiliates reviewed the program) with the program's own status field; both must be right for affiliates to see and join it.
