Payment methods and thresholds

What this is

The Payments page includes a payment methods section where you configure how you want to receive payment, and a Payout minimums card that shows each program's minimum payout amount.

Why it matters

A merchant can only pay you using a method both of you support. Programs that require a compatible payment method before you can even apply check this automatically on the Marketplace and program pages, shown as "Payment match," "Payment setup needed," or "No payment match."

How to do it

1. Open the Payments page and set up your affiliate payment methods in the payment methods section, choosing from supported methods such as PayPal, Venmo, ACH / Direct Deposit, Zelle, Check, Store Credit, or another supported option.
2. If a payment method you want is not offered, use the request option available in that section to ask that it be added; this creates a demand signal only and does not guarantee support.
3. Review the Payout minimums card for each program you have joined. It shows the minimum amount the merchant will send, your unpaid balance so far, and how much more you need before the merchant sends a payment.
4. Watch for a note that a merchant set a high minimum, above 100 dollars, which means you should expect less frequent payments from them.

What happens next

On a program's page, if that program requires payment compatibility, an incompatible payment setup will block your application entirely until you add a compatible method. Otherwise, payment compatibility is informational and helps you understand what to expect when it is time to be paid.

Common mistakes

Do not assume every program uses the same minimum. Each merchant sets their own payout minimum and schedule, both published in that program's terms and summarized in the Payout minimums card.
