What is Diversified Affiliates

An overview of the platform and how merchants and affiliates work together on it.

What this is

Diversified Affiliates is a platform that connects merchants who want to run affiliate programs with affiliates who promote them. The platform provides tracking, commission calculation, creative management, messaging, and reporting in one place.

Why it matters

Understanding the basic model helps you set expectations before you set up your business. The platform tracks clicks, leads, and orders, calculates commissions, and gives both sides shared visibility into performance. Diversified Affiliates never holds affiliate funds. Merchants pay affiliates directly using a payment method they agree on.

How it works

  1. A merchant completes onboarding on the Business page and, once ready, submits for verification.
  2. The merchant creates one or more Programs, writes Program terms, and submits the program for approval.
  3. Affiliates apply to approved programs from the Applications workflow, and the merchant approves or rejects each application.
  4. Approved affiliates use tracking links, coupons, or other attribution methods from How Tracking Works.
  5. Orders and leads reported to the platform (through Integrations or the API) create conversions and commissions.
  6. The merchant pays affiliates directly and records those payments on the platform.

Common mistakes

Do not assume the platform pays affiliates on your behalf. It calculates what is owed; you send the money.

Diversified Affiliates is the network that connects the two sides and keeps the numbers straight, while each merchant is responsible for its own payouts.
