CreativesHow affiliates use creatives
What an affiliate sees and can do once you publish a creative.
What this is
Once you approve and publish a creative, it becomes available to affiliates in the program it was created for.
Why it matters
Understanding what the affiliate side experiences helps you write clear headlines, copy, and disclosures.
How to do it
- Publish a creative from the Creatives tab by clicking Approve and publish.
- Affiliates browsing their own creative library see the current approved revision, including any required disclosure text you set.
- If the creative is dynamic ("Always fresh"), affiliates use one fixed address that keeps showing your latest approved revision.
- If you archive a creative, it is removed from what affiliates can newly select, while historical use is unaffected.
What happens next
Affiliate use of your creatives feeds into campaign and creative performance breakdowns visible in Merchant Analytics and Reports.
Common mistakes
Do not archive a creative that affiliates are actively relying on without checking your reporting first; archiving stops new selection immediately.
