CreativesUnderstanding creatives
The types of creative assets available and how the review and publish flow works.
What this is
Creatives are the assets affiliates use to promote your program: images or banners, text or copy, promotional links, social posts, and uploaded marketing assets. Each creative moves through Draft, Needs review, Approved, Scheduled, Expired, Archived, or Rejected states.
Why it matters
Nothing reaches an affiliate until you approve and publish it. This keeps you in control of your brand and messaging.
How to do it
- Open Creatives and use the Creatives tab to browse existing assets, filterable by state (Draft, Needs review, Approved, Scheduled, Expired, Archived).
- Each creative card shows its type, whether it is marked "Always fresh" (dynamic) or "AI assisted", and its most recently published revision number.
- Staff with a view-only role can see creatives but cannot change them; only staff with management permission can edit, submit, publish, or archive.
What happens next
See Creating Creatives for building a new asset, Campaigns for grouping them, and AI Creative Studio for generating drafts.
Common mistakes
Do not assume a saved draft is visible to affiliates; it stays private until you click Approve and publish.
