Importing existing affiliates
How to bring an existing affiliate list onto the platform and prepare for cutover.
What this is
The Affiliate migration tab of the Operations page lets you preview and execute an import of a legacy affiliate list into a program, and track a cutover readiness checklist.
Why it matters
Moving an existing program from another network or in-house system onto Diversified Affiliates works best with a controlled preview before committing changes.
How to do it
- Open Operations and select the Affiliate migration tab.
- Choose the program you are migrating into and enter a source label (for example "Legacy network export").
- Paste affiliate rows as comma-separated values: email, display name, legacy affiliate ID, and joined date.
- Click Preview import to see a summary of how many rows will link to existing accounts, how many will be invited fresh, and how many will be skipped.
- Click Execute to run the import once the preview looks correct.
- Fill out the Cutover readiness checklist: legacy network name, legacy program ID, and checks for tracking verified, terms published, commission rules ready, payment method ready, and affiliates migrated. Add cutover notes, then Save checklist.
- Review Import history to see linked, invited, and error counts for past imports, and use Retry failed rows if any errors occurred.
What happens next
Linked affiliates connect to existing platform accounts where a match is found; invited affiliates receive a one-time invitation. A completed checklist marks the program's cutover readiness.
Common mistakes
Do not execute a large import without previewing first; the preview's Skip count highlights rows that would not be processed as expected.
