Reviewing applications

How to approve or reject affiliate applications to your programs.

What this is

The Applications page lists affiliates who applied to your programs, split into an action queue of pending applications and a read-only history of past decisions.

Why it matters

Only you decide who joins your program under Manual approval. Getting this review right protects your program from a poor audience or promotional method fit.

How to do it

  1. Open Applications. The Action queue tab shows pending applications; the History tab shows withdrawn, approved, rejected, suspended, and removed applications, which cannot be changed from this page.
  2. Click Review on a pending application to see the affiliate's display name, residence at the time of application, current residence, country compatibility, audience size, categories, promotion methods, and any application answers.
  3. To approve, click Approve.
  4. To reject, choose a reason from the list: audience or traffic mismatch, promotional methods not permitted, geography not supported, incomplete or unverifiable profile, competing or conflicting business, prior policy violation, program not currently recruiting, or Other (which requires a written explanation of at least 10 characters). Add an optional explanation the affiliate will see, and optional internal notes only your team sees.
  5. Click Save notes any time to record internal notes without deciding the application yet.

What happens next

The affiliate sees the decision, and if rejected, sees the reason you selected in their own application history. Approved affiliates appear in your Affiliate Roster and can begin using program tracking links.

Common mistakes

Do not approve affiliates whose promotion methods or audience do not fit your program terms; review their answers carefully first.
